Family Days Out

Taking 4 Kids To Brighton

We decided a few weeks back to take the kids and my 2 younger sisters to Brighton for the day. I knew it was going to be a good day, but I must admit the idea of taking 4 kids (5 if you count my husband- mentality of a toddler) out for the day scared the life out of me. What if I lost one, or worse… What if I left one behind?!
We decided to do the day on a very minimal budget and I believe we succeeded well. We travelled on a family pass, took our own packed lunch and found a voucher to the Sea Life centre!
Once arriving in Brighton we made our way to the beach where we tucked into the lunch I made the night previously. Good classic ham sandwiches, mini sausage rolls, cocktail sausages, a few choccy bars and carrot sticks! The kids gobbled it all up and seemed very satisfied. After the beach, we made our way to the Sea Life centre. I found a voucher on a KitKat wrapper for 50% off entry for up to 4 people (may I just add this is possibly the best thing I have ever found in my fridge EVER). We took Willow to the Sea Life when she was 6 months old and she had great fun, now she is 17 months, it was the best thing ever in her eyes.
After the attraction we made our way down the pier to spend some pennies in the arcade machines. One of my sisters said this was the highlight of her day… Mine was refraining from chucking her off the end of the pier for a laugh… Dad wouldn’t have been impressed.
We did splash out a little at the end of the day, when we went for a nice sit down meal.
Over all it was the most fantastic day, and all 6 of us had the best fun! The weather was great and the kids were happy.
… And I didn’t even leave one behind!

Willow’s first ever walk on the beach….don’t worry Willow, no one looks good walking on pebbles.
