There’s cuddly toys and then there’s super-awesome cuddly toys… with a difference!
Bandai have bought out a whole set of adorable puppies for girls and boys to rescue and adopt. Rescue Runts need your love. When they arrive they are scruffy, they need a wash, they have fleas and need your love to make them feel better! Such a lovely toy for all children who love to nurture or are animal mad!
Rescue Your Runt and Cheer Them Up
Ivy (aged 3) sat for hours helping her Rescue Runt cheer up. There are a few things you must do to cheer up your new Rescue Runt.
Wipe away tears- The tears on your new pup are stickers, these peel off with ease.
Pick out fleas- These fleas are actually kind of cute! Your new pup will come with small tweers that you must use to remove the fleas. These are just threaded into the toy, and simply pull out.
Remove bandages- Your poor pup has hurt their leg! Gently remove bandages and help your pup heal.
Make her smile- Gently tug on your pup’s tongue and out pops a smile! Super cute.
Wash muddy paws- Your Runt comes with a little flannel, wet the flannel and wash away her muddy paws. This can be done over and over again, as the muddy paws magically reappear!
Perk up ears- Your Runt’s ears will be down and sad. But, you can perk them up so she looks really happy.
Brush fur- What a scruffy pup! Brush your new Runt with a hair brush (She does come with one in her box, but we found that using a soft bristled brush made her even fluffier) and her fur will go from looking like a matted mess, to being smooth and silky.
Adopt! The box has a lovely little collar and certificate of adoption included. Write your new pup’s name on her collar and fill out the adoption form. Your pup is now all yours, forever. Ivy called her Rescue Runt Millie.
Once, you’ve finished cleaning you new Rescue Runt, they will be unrecognisable! Just look how superb Millie now looks in this before and after shot. Ivy did a great job, don’t you think?
Ivy has not put Millie down at all, and has been sleeping with her every night. She brushes her fur, washes her paws and perks up her ears. We have 2 dogs at home, so Ivy has always grown up with real doggies and is very much a dog-person. She loves having a new pup that she can take to school and show her friends.
Collect Them All
Ivy has the Cocker Spaniel, but there are 4 others in the Rescue Runts collections. Boarder Collie, Husky and a German Shepherd. Keep your eyes peeled too for the super special Unicorn. We’ve got our other girls a Rescue Runts dog each for Christmas, and Ivy will be getting the Unicorn for her birthday, as we love Rescue Runts so much. Check out the Rescue Runts website to see all of the Rescue Runts in the range.
I honestly love Rescue Runts. They are super cute and adorable, and Ivy is besotted. Her sisters love Millie too and have been playing with her lots, hence why we have bought them some each for Christmas. At £17.99 I believe they are very reasonably priced, as most good quality teddy bears cost around that price too, but Rescue Runts are extra special as you have so much ‘work’ to do with you pup first.
Over all, a lovely toy that’s well made and worth the money. A favourite in our house!
Where To Buy
Rescue Runts are available online and in stores now. Amazon, Smyths Toys Superstores, Very, Argos and The Entertainer all stock Rescue Runts.
