Drug free battle against Hay Fever

It’s the time of the year when we start getting itchy eyes and runny noses. That horrible feeling of hay fever starting to set in fills me with absolute dread.

1 in 5 of us know the feeling all too well, and dread this time of the year when our symptoms start to flare. We all want to get outside, enjoy the warming sunshine and feel the grass between our toes as we enjoy our gardens, or a walk in the park without the constant sneezing and sore noses that go with it.

HayMax Pot

HayMax, the drug free barrier balm can really help us stop hay fever interfering with our daily lives. The balm is simply wiped around nostrils and cheek bones, which then traps allergens, preventing them from entering our bodies and irritating us. Pesky pollen, grass, dust and pet hair all cease to trigger your hay fever. Great if you’re allergic to your best friends pooch but you want to spend time playing with the fluff-ball. Apply the balm first thing in the morning, and re-apply throughout the day whenever you think you may need it.

Because the balm is drug free, there is no limit to how often you can use it. It won’t interfere with any other medication you may be taking, and it doesn’t make you drowsy – so if you’re worried about having to operate machinery you need not worry. HayMax Kids is suitable for children of all ages, including babies from birth. Great news for kids who suffer pet allergies, and are off to a friends house for a party. Because HayMax is drug free, it can be packed in your child’s school bag and easily self administered throughout the school day, without the need for filling out medical forms, or being locked away in the matrons office when not in use.

I feel like my hay fever is starting to surface, even though it’s only the beginning of April. I know summer is coming when I settle down for the evening and my nose starts to run. It’s always in the evening! I wanted to give HayMax a go for myself, just to see if it helps stop my symptoms from developing, rather that easing existing symptoms with pharmacy purchased drugs.

A handy little 5ml tub. Small enough to fit into my handbag. Small enough to slip into my back pocket when taking the dogs for a walk. I was surprised to find that it had no smell and no colour. I’m not sure why I expected to see a bright colour and strong scent, but I was taken aback to find it had neither. It looked natural. I suppose I am just so used to buying products that are so ‘developed’ by manufacturers, that when I was faced with a plain white balm I was pleasantly surprised.

A quick run with my finger around the pot and I had enough HayMax to apply in one go around my nostrils. Another wipe gave me enough to run around both my eyes too. I noticed that you don’t need much at all for the product to work. I imagine that despite the pot’s 5ml size, it will last me and my family a very long time. It doesn’t feel greasy on my face at all and I felt no irritation or sting, even though I have very sensitive skin.

I applied HayMax first thing in the morning and felt sniffle-free until lunch time, when we were at a local farm. I started to feel like my eyes were getting hot, so I reapplied the balm. After around 10 minutes I started to feel relief again. My 2 applications lasted me until around 5pm when we got home. That night I had no runny nose and no prickly hot eyes. Success!
