World Stationery Day, with The Dodo Pad

Today, Wednesday 29th April, is World Stationery Day, and one of it’s headline sponsors is the superb, funny and devilishly handsome guys (and gals) from The Dodo Pad.

You can never have too much stationery, and National Stationery week (27/4-4/5) lets us all embrace that! Why not go out and treat yourself to some snazzy new stationery today? Buy a nice handwriting pen, an awesome pencil case (one that your inner-school-kid would have been envious of back in the day) or maybe you could really treat yourself to a new ring binder… oooohhh.

I received my first ever Dodo-Pad back at Christmas time, when someone realised that with 2 kids and one on the way, Juggling a home and a blog, a husband and 2 cats, I desperately needed to get my organisation skills in check. The perfect present for a mum.

I am literally so in LOVE with my Dodo-Pad. My life would be a mess without it. That’s an honest fact. Up until December 22nd last year, I had never dedicated a diary to myself (other than my old school planner, which was more covered in doodles between me and my bestie than actual homework notes.) I relied on post-it notes stuck to the fridge and reminders set on my phone. But the day my Dodo-Pad began, I was thrown into a 7 month (and ongoing) journey of organisation, scribbles and comedy. Lord Dodo best describes his 2015 Dodo-Pad as ‘a combined diary-doodle-memo-message-engagement-organiser-calendar-book’. I think that sums it up pretty perfectly.

dodo pad review

Filled with fun illustrations and facts, the 53 weekly pages have useful name colums, and a blank page accompanying each week for your doodles, notes and important information- such as the new pizza shop opening hours. The A4 pad is sturdy and has lots of room for stuffing random bits of important paper insode of it too… in fact there is even a paper wallet at the back to keep notes safe. Forward planning pages can be found at the back for all you super organised people. TBF I don’t even know what I am doing at the end of the day, let alone the end of next year.

I would recommend this yearly planner for busy mums, hectic dads and even the soon-to-be-decided prime minister… we all need one.

The 27th of April – 3rd of May celebrates National Stationary Week, and Lord Dodo is celebrating this year in style! The Dodo-Pad is also celebrating 50 glorious years of organising lives this year, with lots of superb offers, events and new releases. You can even have great fun exploring Lord Dodo’s grand stately home, with lots of fun surprises to be found on your tour. Take a tour here.
