Welcome to the world of the Newhouse Family. Stick around, because although we might appear a bit crazy, a bit ‘away with the fairies’, or even just a bit strange, we are, at the end of the day, just a very bit normal.
Now I have a confession… (hush hush) but… I’m not actually a Newhouse. I am in fact a Parker. And a bloody nosy one at that! But due to a series of events, I did agree to marry into these Newhouses.
It was August 1st 2011, and I had just returned from a day trip (OK, a loud sweaty gig) to York. I was tired, hungry and I smelt… a lot! All I wanted was my bed. I opened the door to our small 1 bed flat, to find candles, soft music and a very very tidy home. I remember cracking a joke at Jay and then realising that I had possibly just ruined something very important…. of course, he got down on one knee, opened a box containing a beautiful white gold, diamond encrusted ring, I said yes and out came a bottle of sparkling champagne. That bottle of champagne still sits in the wine rack waiting to be drunk. Because Jay proposed when I was 2 months pregnant, and that’s where all the fun started…
