Summertime Swimming!

Swimming is something I have always loved to do since I was a little girl. My nan and grandad used to take me and my friend Eve to Newport Pagnell swimming pool where we would have lots of fun, and importantly learn to swim. I remember the pool always being so packed with kids havingfun, and it was a great place to go… especially the vending machine after!

The swimming shop at the pool used to sell such lovely swimming costumes made by swimwear specialists Zoggs. I remember wearing mine with pride, showing off all of my swimming badges that I had been awarded during previous swimming sessions.

Now I have my own children, I am keep to get them swimming as soon as possible. Willow is a true water baby and took to the pool with ease and enjoyment straight away, often scaring the life out of me, as lets face it, still tiny! Olive, obviously is still far too small! I plan on taking her swimming in the next week or so and hopefully she will enjoy the water just as much as Willow did for the first ever time. Willow relaxed so much she actually fell asleep on me during her first ever swim!

Now Willow is a little older and enjoying swimming more and more each week I feel that it is time to let her learn more swimming skills by playing fun games with her in the water. A friend of mine who is a swim instructor has suggested games with water hoops, Zoggs dive sticks, and even fun shaped floats!

Here is a picture of Willows first ever swimming costume, and her current costume… look how shes grown!
