20 Week Scan

At quarter past 10-ish this morning (ignore the scan photo- they obviously have not changed the clocks at the hospital still!), we went for our 20 week scan. The sun was shining and we were all in a bouncy mood. Well, I couldn’t bounce too much, as I had a full bladder which is needed to get a clear image during the scan. Our baby was looked at closely by the sonographer in the Maternity wing of Bedford hospital. The baby’s heart was watched closely, and its chambers observed and counted. Bones were checked and the brain was measured. We also looked at the umbilical cord and watched baby dance and wiggle. When I was scanned at 20 weeks with Willow, It seemed that we were in the room for ages, waiting nervously while baby was given a medical black and white ‘all over’. But this time, it went so quickly! Bit like the whole pregnancy so far then!

Oh. And we found out we were expecting a girl. AGAIN.
Poor Jay.
Wait… poor ME!
