Just when we thought we didn’t have room for any more pets, this little bundle of fluff found her way into our home. This is 8 week old Suzie, a Jack Russell Terrier cross and an absolute joy. She’s getting on wonderfully with Scrapper, our 1 year old JRTx and the cats love her too.
Last night was her first night with us, and she surprised us all with how well she coped. Minimal crying, and she’s even going out in the garden for wee’s like a clever girl. She’s off to the vets tonight for her first set of jabs and microchip fitting. Remember guys, that by law from April 6th 2016, all dogs and puppies in the UK must be microchipped, or owners could face a fine of £500 for failing to comply. Microchipping is a simple procedure that takes seconds. A sterile needle inserts a chip, the size of a grain of rice (and some new chips are even smaller!) into the space between your pets shoulder blades. The chip lasts forever, but you must remember to update your details if you move house, change phone number or if your pet passes away.
So, everybody wave and coo, over our new fur baby Suzie…
