Born as Hazel Parker in the winter of ’89. that currently makes me 22, if you didn’t (or can’t) do the maths. Originally from Milton Keynes, but relocated to Bedford last year. Don’t ask me why, but I did. I moved into a pub, and drank like a goldfish most evenings, nay forget goldfish, more blue whale. I left the pub, and moved into the worlds smallest flat. It was, in fact, so small the living room was quite literally a space under the stairs. Me and Jay have since moved into our new home (Newhouse, in a new home, Lol.), a beautiful little 180year old cottage, a week before Christmas last year.
We had our daughter just 3 weeks ago on the 9th of March 2012. She really is the love of my life and the most perfect thing I have ever seen. I decided to write this blog after hearing so much about Jays blog. Not because I thought it would be a fun thing to do together, but more so because I am a competitive little mare, and wanted to prove I too could do it… I say this because I could not tell you one thing about the Internet or how it works and the closest I have ever come to writing a blog is updating my Facebook status about the * cough * people on Jeremy Kyle.
Jay is my rock, the best father in the world and the love of my life.
He’s a little older than me, at an ”I’m now getting old’ age of 24. I must keep reminding him that, although he may have added a few inches to his waist band and a few hairs have turned a slight grey colour since I got pregnant, he is not old.
I met Jay through his mum and dad at my local bar. I had only just moved to our town and literally knew about 3 people. The bar manager, the bar maid and the old man who sat at the end of the bar. I love the local music scene and so does Jay’s ‘rents. Jay often came along to the gigs his parents were at, and I grew to develop an eye for Jay over time. I’d notice when he wasn’t there. I’d ask his mum or dad, where he was, why wasn’t he there and when would he next be coming down to the venue…. I was a pretty much becoming stalker. Uh oh!!! anyway, to cut a long story short, he emailed me about some CD’s, I emailed him about a drink, wham! Bam! Thank you ma’am! He left behind his home town of Biggleswade, We got a flat, I got pregnant, we got engaged and I was the happiest girl alive! ( and I still am.)
Jay works in an office, doing something with the internet that I don’t really understand. And although that is his ‘job’, in my eyes his real Job is being the best father in he world. And he’s pretty darn good at it!
Jay runs his own blog, visit him here.
Not much to say about Willow at the moment, After all she is only 3 weeks old. Willow came into this world at 20:42 on the 9th of March 2012, weighing a petite 7lb 4oz. You can read about my birth experience later in a dedicated post. She is a beautiful little girl who really is as good as gold. Her hobbies include drinking lots of mummy’s milk, sleeping a lot and pooping everywhere! (in fact, as I type this, Jay is wiping poop from his hand after she made a slight mess on her changing mat, Just as he was placing a new nappy under her! Perfect timing ole’ gal!)
