Frugal Family

My 2019 Wishes

First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! How did you celebrate the beginning of the year? I was in bed by 10pm, watching my new favourite Prime series, Lore. I was also being ‘Big-Spoon’ for my Lurcher who’s scared of fireworks. Poor pup!

I’m no longer a big drinker, and I’ve also recently been struggling with tiredness, so staying up all night drinking didn’t really appeal to me this year.

This year I have decided to blog differently. I’m taking the huge decision to step away from mummy-blog-esque style posts and concentrate on what I love the most, writing about self sufficiency, gardening and frugal living. The last 7 years (almost) have been great fun, blogging for some huge parenting brands and events but it’s time for something new. I want to get back to blogging about our personal life and cut back on the advertorial posts!

I shall still cover our love of board games, family days out and my son’s Syndactyly Journey. I just won’t be covering toy reviews or baby products… unless it’s something supercool that I think you will all love.

I’m also going to be expanding our garden with more fruit and veg, grown organically and growing more flowers. I want to concentrate on turning our large front garden into a more cottage-garden style growing space, mixing cut flowers with edibles.

I start the year with an operation tomorrow. Gallbladder removal… yay. So, wish me luck! Hopefully in the next few weeks we shall recieve a date for Jimmy’s 1st Syndactyly release operation. I’m dreading the time when it arrives but I’m excited to give my son a High 5, rather than a High 4!

My husband and I are also going to put more effort into our mintures buisness, Little Pig Miniatures and perhaps release our own game!

I wanted the first draft of my book ready by the end of 2018, but unfortunately I just lost my pizzazz. I’m in 2 minds wether to carry on writing it or scrapping it all together and attempting a different title that I have an idea for.

What are you hopes and plans for 2019? Let me know in the comments!
