H Samuel Complaint

Why do we buy stuff online?
To save dragging the kids on 2 busses, walking around a packed and rather smelly town center? To save money (bus fair and that inevitable Costa that I have to buy to destresss)?
Or just so you can order in secret without your hubby seeing?
I ordered online, because of all 3 of those points. I visited the H Samuel website and ordered a lovely pair of hinged sleeper earrings for Jay, after his got lost under the skirting boards.
What happened? I was sent the wrong product. Like totally wrong. This was Feb 2nd and I was promised by the lovely lady on the phone I would be sent a replacement pack and my earrings would defo be with me by Valentines day.
Well, it’s now 2 days until Valentines day and no pack from H Samuel.
I called customer services and explained what had happened and was (rudely) told that I would have to pick them up from store if I wanted them in time for Friday.
If I was willing to drag my 2 kids out in the piddling rain and hurricane force winds on my own (I never leave the house on my own, that’s a whole different kettle of fish) I would have done.
So for the price of item being delivered, I now have to spend nearly £10 on a bus.
And of course my hubby had to have no surprise for Valentines Day as I had to tell him about this. It’s not often I get the chance to surprise my husband, and even this rare time has been ruined.
Well done H Samuel.
