Disney Life Review

Sometimes all our kids want is a nice chill out session with the TV. With 3 girls in the house (ages 2, 4 and 5), we are no strangers to Disney. We have a Netflix subscription which is great, but it does lack Disney classics. Luckily Disney now have their own fantastic subscription streaming service; Disney Life.

Disney Life has plenty to keep the kids busy. You can find (nearly) every Disney movie ever released, TV shows and box sets, watch live Disney TV channels, read books and even listen to Disney music… oh, and even West End shows! With popular categories such as Pixar, Disney Princesses, Marvel, Star Wars and Disney classics, there is something for the whole family to watch.

My husband loved scrolling through all of the content to find films and cartoons from when he was a kid! Disney Life has really surprised us all with the amount of content available to watch. You may even be surprised what films or shows you discover- we certainly were! Keep reading to see my ‘must-watch’ list at the bottom of this page!

A screenshot from the app on my phone. There are 100’s of titles to choose from!

The subscription service is super easy to set up. Once your account has been created you can create up to 6 profiles and watch on up to 10 devices! Content can be watched on up to 4 devices at once, great for large families. Films, TV shows and more can also be downloaded onto your devices to watch at anytime, offline. Great for when out of the house when your wifi isn’t available. I particularly like the idea of this when we are taking a long drive. The kids can relax on a long train or car ride (and may be distracted enough to not ask “Are we nearly there yet” every 3 minutes).

I have a separate profile to the kids, as Disney Life is great for the whole family!

We have only had the service for 2 weeks but the kids have already enjoyed films such as Frozen Sing-along, Pinocchio, Brave and Monsters University. I have watched The Lone Ranger (Johnny Depp is amazing in it), a perfect treat for an early night when the bedtime routine goes to plan! I am loving picking the kids up from school, doing homework and reading together. Then letting the kids choose something to watch on Disney Life while I prepare dinner and do a spot of cleaning… in peace!

If you have an android TV, Chromecast or Apple AirPlay you can stream content from your device straight to your TV, so no need to cuddle round a small screen.

Disney life costs £15 for 3 months, £30 for 6 months or £60 for 12 months. At £5 per month, I consider this a bargain!  You can pay online, or purchase gift cards available from lots of supermarkets such as ASDA, Tesco, Sainsbury’s.

If you’re not sure you want to commit to a package just yet, you can sign up for a 7 day free trial on the Disney Life website here.
