It’s a funny thing, Luck.
It’s something that even the most down to earth, sceptical, scientific and methodical people refer to multiple times a day, probably without a thought for if this mystical force that shapes the outcome of several life events even exists or not. We even distinguish between good, and bad luck, and talk about lucky “streaks”.
I’ve certainly had my share of good and bad luck over the years. I’ve broke a few mirrors and found a few £10 notes. Fairly balanced, I’d say. But that doesn’t stop me dreaming of that life changing lottery win every Saturday night!
I saw this advert for the Paddy Power Bingo website appear on TV a few weeks back and thought I might share it with you. As you know, I do love to share adverts that I find amusing. This advert certainly brings luck into the forefront of our minds.
The ad sees the Paddy Power Pigeon delivering sparkly, pink “luck from above” – a brand new twist on the old superstition that being hit by bird poo is good luck (and not just a pain in the bum).
For me, the ad is also a welcome change from the usual Paddy Power “football-banter-inspired” advertising that I just don’t get.
With the theme of today’s blog post being on luck, I’m also pleased to share with you some content from the Paddy Power Bingo blog. Paddy Power Bingo assembled their pick of the world’s luckiest buggers in this cool image below:
With this much luck in the world, I think I might head over to their website and sign up. I’ll certainly be keeping my fingers and toes crossed, whilst holding my lucky rabbits foot…now if only Willow would stop opening umbrellas indoors, and stop putting her shoes on the table!
