Many of you may have seen a few previous posts that I have written for #BestBootForward. These posts are written because I am a member of a group of very inspirational bloggers, who all come together weekly to help, inspire and boost each other. It’s women helping women… and it feels awesome to be a part of that group!
Today’s questions come from Chloe who blogs at Indigo Wilderness.
Tell us about an inspirational woman in your life
This is a hard question! There are lots of inspirational women in my life… seriously! Every aspect of my life has been inspired by some amazing ladies and their passions.
Millie Hill, the founder of The Positive Birth Movement. This lady has changed the way women birth. Fear, anxiety, and panic are waved goodbye. This lady has changed the way that babies arrive on this earth. She is AMAZING. I had the pleasure of meeting her in the Press Room at The Baby Show last year, and she is every bit as inspiring in the flesh as she is in her book!
Lucy Johnson who inspired me to have 4 kids and live my life as wildly as you can (before you get arrested or go crazy). Check out her epic glittery instagram… If you like pictures beautiful houses, crazy animals, glittery rainbow outfits and 4 gorgeous boys, give her a follow!
Tamsin who blogs at EcoFluffyMama. She blogs about all things green and eco, and is a wealth of knowledge. She’s having to concentrate on her health at the moment so doesn’t write as often, but her website is full of massively inspiring blog posts. She also stole the UK Blog Award from me for the best Green and Eco blog in 2017… I’ll never forgive her for that 😉
Rachael from Moontimes who inspired me to switch to reusable sanitary wear several years ago. I suppose she planted the seed that changed my whole way of living. It was because of her I discovered CSP, as I had never heard of it before. Well, look where I am now… HA! A beautiful soul, who is passionate about women’s health. Rachael is a menstrual revolutionary, so check out her shop.
Those above are just 4 women who I adore, along with every single woman who I see daily/weekly/yearly. Judith, Sally, Holly, Michelle, Kylie, Megan, Caitlin, Alice, Amber, Sarah, Jen, Gemma, Jolene, Jessica, Rebecca, Julie, Abby, Dani, Kelly, Dianna, Vicki, Lesley, Jackie, Rasha, Sharon, Sam, Jenny, Pippa, Stephanie, Sarah, Maria, Zoe… and all the others, whose names I could spend all day typing. You’re all inspirational and I love you all.
How do you think you inspire other people?
Again, another hard question. I suppose it would be best to ask other people this question and see what they say.
Apparently, I give mothers confidence to know that they are doing the very best that they can in parenthood. I take everything in my stride, remaining calm, even when the going gets tough. I have inspired people to get outside and have a go at growing their own food, and making better choices when it comes to being more eco-friendly. I have had women message me for advice on choosing reusable menstrual products, cloth nappies. They have asked me for their advice on breastfeeding and even fertility issues!
My husband says: “Me, you inspire me to get out of bed every day and do something to help us get that bit closer to having the house, garden etc that we want. People read your blog and were inspired to start their own too. I could go on? Everyone asks you for advice because they value your opinion and recognise you’re a bit of an expert.”
So, there you have it!
